This corrects the article "Alcohol-Induced Headache: A Narrative Review Based on Migraine Pathophysiology" on page 21.
This is a correction to an already published article (Headache Pain Res 2026;27(1):21-29; https://doi.org/10.62087/hpr.2025.0027).
The drug name was incorrectly spelled “imegepant” in two sentences under the subsection “2. Interface with migraine treatment and the potential role of calcitonin gene-related peptide-pathway–based therapies” in the section “CURRENT EVIDENCE AND THERAPEUTIC CONSIDERATIONS.” The correct spelling is “rimegepant.”
The corrected sentences are provided below.
More recently, Lipton and colleagues introduced the concept of “situational prevention,” in which rimegepant is used for prophylactic purposes during periods with increased risk of migraine attacks.
While rimegepant has demonstrated minimal hepatotoxicity with short-term use, its safety profile when administered in the context of recent alcohol consumption, including repeated or situational use, remains insufficiently studied.
We apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused to readers.
